About Us

OMTC has been getting people on the water since 2004.  We are a family owned business that has grown from selling a few canoes and kayaks on the side, to becoming one of the largest specialty paddlesports retailers in the US.  We love helping people find the perfect kayak or canoe for how they like to enjoy the water.

Our Ownership Team

Larry Jenkins and his brother Bruce built OMTC from selling a few canoes on the side, to shifting into full-time operators.  Larry has a strong background in operations management, and keeps things running smooth.  Larry loves hiking, camping, canoeing, and family (not necessarily in that order).  Today he tries to get in a hike a day with his beloved golden retriever, Nova.

Brother Bruce has a strong background in sales and marketing, and grew up paddling down the rivers of the Ozarks, and jumped at the chance to make a mid-career change to build and grow OMTC.  Bruce loves to paddle down rivers, fish, camp, and spend time with his family.

Diane Jenkins saw an opportunity for OMTC to further serve their customers by making products available online; so Diane retired early from her prior career to develop and launch OMTC's Online Store.  Some of Diane's favorite rivers include the Buffalo, Kings, Mulberry, and Current.  (Oh, and she's also Bruce's wife).

Senior Managers

Andy Dill (AKA The Bearded Paddler) manages our Cotter, AR location, joining us the first of 2021.  Andy brings an amazing depth of expertise with our fishing kayaks and related accessories.  Through The Bearded Paddler YouTube channel, Andy brings that knowledge to everyone via his product videos and clips.  Andy grew up on the Buffalo National River, and Andy and his wife Kristina enjoy floating, fishing, and hiking the Ozarks.

Grant Jenkins is another long time employee and manages our Garfield, AR  store. Have a question?  He's your guy.  Born and raised in Northwest Arkansas, Grant enjoys recreational kayaking with his family. Favorites are the Buffalo and Kings rivers.
